25/04 L´OREAL-UNESCO FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE AWARDS
- L'Oréal España has opened the application period for the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science research awards. The awards, worth €15,000 each, are intended for research centres to support projects carried out by Spanish female scientists during 2018.
They must be under 40 years of age and carry out their project in an area of Physical Sciences. Among the requirements that will be taken into account when awarding the prizes are the excellence of the researcher’s academic career and professional track record; the quality and innovative nature of the project and its impact on society, as well as the activities undertaken by the research centre to disseminate research carried out by women and promote science among young people.
All of these are aligned with the objectives of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science programme, which this year celebrates its seventeenth anniversary in Spain and whose aim is to raise the profile of the work of female scientists in our country and encourage young women to pursue careers in research.
The deadline for submitting applications for the grants will remain open until 21 May (inclusive), and candidates must apply via the following LINK
