Proteomics Unit

Mission

The Proteomics Unit's main objective is to promote scientific research and technological development in the field of proteomics, offering research groups, hospitals and companies various proteomics services, advice on their projects, as well as seminars and training courses.

Description

In the Proteomics Unit, not only are isolated proteins identified. The techniques offered enable the proteins that make up the proteome to be identified on a large scale. Quantitative proteomics studies can be carried out to compare the relative abundance of proteins in different  samples. In addition, studies of protein interactions with other proteins and studies of post-translational modifications such as phosphorylations can be performed. Furthermore, targeted Proteomics services are offered, enabling biomarkers to be sought and validated in complex biological and clinical samples.
