Register for the 7th edition of the “Course on Methodology in Biomedical Research” at IiSGM by January 24.

As part of the training activities of the Gregorio Marañón Health Research Institute, a course in Methodology in Biomedical Research is being offered, aimed especially at researchers undergoing training at the Institute. The course, now in its seventh edition, will have a hybrid format: it will be held in person in a room and simultaneously broadcast via live streaming, with production to ensure the correct display of the speaker and their presentation in PowerPoint format. Therefore, participants will be able to choose between receiving the training live or in video format.

It will begin on 29 January 2024 and will have a total duration of 23.5 hours, being free of charge for all researchers at the Institute. The cost for all researchers not affiliated with the Hospital/Institute will be €150.

The aim of the course is to present the fundamentals of scientific research throughout its chronological development, from the emergence of the research question to the publication of the research results: formulating the scientific question, bibliographic search tools, basic methodological tools for study design, data collection and statistical analysis, as well as the methodology for the correct interpretation of results and the preparation of manuscripts. Essentially, the course aims to provide researchers with the knowledge necessary to carry out high-quality scientific activities.

Each participant’s attendance will be monitored and, at the end of the course, a short test will be held to assess the level of achievement. Only those who achieve 90% attendance will be able to request a certificate.
