19/11. RESEARCH REPORT 2013
The IISGM Research Report for 2013 (English and Spanish version) is now available .
The 2013 Report provides a precise and detailed analysis of the research activity carried out by the different Research Areas and Groups. It also represents a unique opportunity for a detailed strategic analysis of the Institute’s development and enables explicit recognition of the great effort made by each Research Group.
Quantitatively, the IiSGM’s scientific output in 2013 shows significant consolidation of the growing trend observed in recent years, with a total of 506 indexed publications representing a global impact factor of 1,942 points, which represents an increase of 17.5% compared with the 2012 IF.
Likewise, the number of publications in journals in the first quartile and first decile remains stable, thus reflecting the Institution’s research potential. The presence of IISGM researchers in national and international clinical practice guidelines is also significant, and the growing number of patents reflects the capacity to transfer research activity.
It is also important to emphasise the IISGM Groups’ continued ability to successfully compete in all types of competitive calls for proposals, including international projects. The participation of numerous Research Groups in various national cooperative structures and excellence networks is also noteworthy.
