11/09 New "Portal FIS" of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III

The Carlos III Health Institute has launched the  Health Research Fund Portal (FIS Portal). This platform aims to bring health research projects closer to society, providing information of interest to citizens as a whole, and particularly to patients affected by diseases that require scientific advances to provide solutions to their problems. It is also expected to disseminate research activity carried out in the public sector and facilitate engagement with the productive sector in an agile and straightforward manner.

Enquiries will provide information on the project’s objective, its start and completion dates, the centre where it is carried out, the funding received and the principal investigator leading it.

The FIS Portal will include more than 1,300 publicly funded health research projects financed through the Strategic Action in Health (AES). These projects are included in the 2013 and 2014 calls for proposals. The AES, managed by the ISCIII, is included in the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation, and its objective is to develop, promote and strengthen research within the National Health System.
