02/03 CALL FOR CYTED THEMATIC NETWORKS
The Ibero-American Programme of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED) was created in 1984 through an Interinstitutional Framework Agreement signed by 19 countries from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. It is defined as an international programme of multilateral scientific and technological cooperation at the Ibero-American level, with a horizontal approach, focused on development and covering all stages of R&D&I under a single coordination structure, from cooperation in basic and applied research to cooperation in innovation.
Its main objective is to contribute to the harmonious and sustainable development of the Ibero-American Region by establishing cooperation mechanisms between research groups at universities, R&D centres and innovative companies in Ibero-American countries, seeking to achieve scientific and technological results that can be transferred to production systems and social policies.
