Marie Sklodowska-Curie: Postdoctoral Fellowships - Global Fellowships 2026

Closed

Deadline: -

Funding body:
European Commission

The objective of the postdoctoral fellowships under the European Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of young PhD holders who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility.

The "MSCA Global Fellowships» actions will allow, in a first phase of up to two years («outgoing phase»), the postdoctoral researcher to carry out the development of a research project and their training at a centre established outside the European Union and associated countries, with the obligation to complete the project at a European centre during the final 12 months of the grant.

The call has a budget of EUR 59.86 million for this type of grant.

Fellows may undertake optional stays (secondments) of up to half of the outgoing phase. A maximum of three months of these stays may take place at the beginning of the project at the beneficiary entity (or associated partners linked to it), allowing the researcher to spend time there before moving to the associated partner in the Third Country. This maximum period of three months will be considered part of the outgoing phase. Temporary stays may not take place during the mandatory twelve-month return period to the host organisation in an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe.

In addition to these stays, «placements in companies» (placements in the non-academic sector). may be proposed. A placement of up to 6 months may be carried out at an institution in the business sector, always at the end of the fellowship period, and provided that it is included in the application phase.

Interested parties must send their proposal to the foundation (email link(ELIMINAR)) at least 10 working days in advance, before the application deadline for this call closes. The Foundation will review it to determine whether the grant covers the total labour cost according to the collective agreement/salary scales or whether a co-financing commitment is required.
