Precision Medicine Infrastructure associated with Science and Technology (IMPaCT) of the AES
Closed
Deadline: -
Funding body:
ISCIIII
This call is aimed at the maintenance and implementation of the three programmes developed and linked to the Precision Medicine Infrastructure associated with Science and Technology (IMPaCT):
- Predictive Medicine: addresses the design and establishment of a population-based cohort representative of the population residing in Spain, its ethnic variability, and geographical and environmental diversity, with the participation of all the Autonomous Communities and prospective follow-up, ultimately making the information generated in this cohort available to the scientific community. All of this is aimed at contributing to the design of precision strategies and predictive models for the primary prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment of the main diseases.
- Data Science: focuses on the development and validation of an environment for the integration and joint analysis of clinical, molecular and genetic data, for secondary use in coordination with Programmes 1, contributing to the accessibility and analysis of cohort data in a secure manner, and 3, facilitating access to and analysis of genomic information. Likewise, this area generates models that make it possible to respond efficiently to questions relevant to the National Health System, promoting the generation of high-level knowledge based on these approaches.
- Genomic Medicine: promotes the establishment of a cooperative infrastructure distributed across several nodes for conducting highly complex genetic studies based on research technologies. At this stage, the scientific capabilities will be geared towards contributing to the diagnosis of rare diseases and other undiagnosed diseases, as well as research into pre- and neonatal diagnosis, in coordination with the healthcare structures of the National Health System and the Ministry of Health.
This call provides for the funding of a single beneficiary entity per Programme, plus a co-coordinator for each of the Programmes. The remaining entities included in the proposal of each potential beneficiary will be considered participating entities.
Each of the Programmes must have a central node belonging to the beneficiary entity, which will be responsible for coordinating the various participating entities, distributing funds in accordance with the Action Plan and justifying their use to the ISCIII.
