SEMINAR: Transversal Skills (soft skills) - Speaker: Ximena Muñoz
The Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Gregorio Marañón (IISGM) has launched a series of training seminars aimed at its staff, as part of the implementation of the HR Excellence in Research seal. This recognition, awarded by the European Commission, distinguishes institutions that work to improve their human resources policies and practices in research.
The first seminar, which will take place online next 24 September at 2.30 p.m., will focus on the development of transferable skills for research staff. These skills, such as communication, time management, leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration, are essential for researchers’ professional development and have direct application in multiple work contexts.
The session is open to all Institute staff, both research and management and support staff, and forms part of the actions included in the HR Action Plan that the IISGM is developing to align its practices with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
This seminar is the first session of a series of four, which will run until November and address other key aspects such as merit-based recruitment (OTM-R), research careers and research ethics.
