On this occasion, the seminar will focus on the COARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment) initiative, an international movement that promotes the reform of research assessment systems in order to encourage more qualitative, responsible models aligned with the principles of Open Science.

The session, which will take place online on 4 November from 14:30 to 15:30, will feature Eva M. Méndez Rodríguez, PhD in Information Science and Library Science and an expert in metadata standards and open knowledge. Méndez has been a lecturer and researcher at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid since 1997 and a senior lecturer since 2008. She has participated in international research teams working on web standards and is a member of various committees and advisory groups related to open data, scientific repositories and Open Science (DCMI, OpenAIRE2020, RDA, UNESCO, among others). In addition, she has provided consultancy services for national and international projects and has held academic management and educational innovation responsibilities.

The event is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
