The IiSGM and FIBHGM support the 4th Gregorio Marañón Healthcare Entrepreneurship Conference
An event that is becoming established as a meeting point for innovation in healthcare
The Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Gregorio Marañón (IiSGM), together with the Fundación de Investigación Biomédica (FIBHGM) of the centre, has held a new event to foster spaces for dialogue, with the ultimate aim of improving patient care and quality of life by promoting innovative solutions. On this occasion, the 4th Healthcare Entrepreneurship Conference focused on healthcare regulation, a key element in ensuring patient safety and facilitating the incorporation of new technologies into the system.
This event, organised by the Marañón Innovation Support Unit, has established itself as a benchmark event for the main stakeholders in the health innovation ecosystem. Specifically, the event brought together representatives of regulatory bodies, companies, start-ups and healthcare professionals with the aim of sharing knowledge, experiences and challenges surrounding the development of innovative solutions.
The institutional opening was led by the Director-General of Research and Teaching of the Health Department of the Community of Madrid, Inmaculada Ibáñez, the Managing Director of Hospital Gregorio Marañón, Sonia García San José, the Scientific Director of the IiSGM, Constancio Medrano, and the Managing Director of the FIBHGM, Teresa Fernández. Manuel Desco, Director of the IiSGM Innovation Support Unit, was responsible for welcoming attendees.
4th Healthcare Entrepreneurship Conference
The conference led by Marañón, which, due to its growing interest, moved to the centre’s Aula Magna, had a high attendance and level of engagement, as it recorded more than 500 registrations from various parts of the country across its in-person and online formats. This reception consolidates Marañón as a benchmark in healthcare entrepreneurship driven directly from a hospital centre.
The programme consisted of a series of multidisciplinary round tables that encouraged dialogue between the institutional and business sectors. Through presentations and discussion sessions, the main challenges faced by innovative projects were addressed, as well as the opportunities offered by collaboration among all stakeholders.
In addition to the technical sessions, attendees highlighted the value of the conference as a space for strategic connections, facilitating the creation of synergies. This exchange helps promote projects that, while meeting the highest standards of quality and safety, can be effectively transferred into clinical practice.
